Luminarts (not so) Live, Featuring Chen-Shen Fan

Please enjoy this special performance by Luminarts Fellow in Classical Piano Chen-Shen Fan (2016). We promise there are few classical pianists working today who are as charismatic and talented as Chen-Shen, who is a PhD candidate in musical arts at Northwestern University, but due to COVID-19 is currently with family in Tokyo.

Disappointed that he could not perform live for us in March as planned, he has shared these video performances which were created for you. Chen-Shen begins with a performance of Robert Schumann’s “Davidsbundlertanze, OP. 6” and then treats us to Johannes Brahms’ “Selections of Waltzes, Op. 39” assisted by pianist Tonia Miki.
