Dominic Doutney is currently undertaking his Doctor of Musical Arts at Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music with Professor James Giles, as a recipient of the Eckstein scholarship. He is a graduate of the Royal College of Music, where he was awarded the prestigious Tagore Gold Medal, given to two students annually for outstanding musical contribution to the Royal College. He performed for His Majesty King Charles III (then Prince of Wales) at the prize-giving ceremony. ​In May 2024 Dominic received both 1st prize and audience prize at the Washington International Competition in Washington, DC. In September, Dominic was awarded 1st prize at the Seattle International Competition. Other international competition prizes include 1st prize at the 25th Mauro Paolo Monopoli International Competition in Barletta, Italy, and the Royal Over-Seas League in London; 3rd prize at the JaénInternational Piano Competition and the Clamo International Competition, both in Spain; and 5th prize at the Lyon International Competition.
