Kelly X. Hui is a fiction writer and abolitionist community organizer. She is a Mellon Mays fellow at the University of Chicago, where she studies English, Critical Race & Ethnic Studies, and Creative Writing and works as a barista in the basement coffee shop of the divinity school. She is working on a short story collection on Asian American girlhood (and an undergraduate thesis project on literary ghosts).
