Sponsored by: Cherilyn G. Murer
Seehyun Kim, originally from the Republic of Korea, is a classically trained artist looking toward a professional career in the world of ballet. As the recipient of a full tuition scholarship for San Francisco Ballet School’s Trainee Program in 2023, she has had the pleasure of working with Viktor Plotnikov, Raphael Besse, Pascal Molat, and more during her time there. Now, as a Joffrey Studio Company member in the Grainger Academy of The Joffrey Ballet, Seehyun is able to continue her full-time training. Under the directorship of Suzanne Lopez and Ogulcan Borova, she has a rigorous 6-days-a-week training schedule that includes regular opportunities to take classes with and perform alongside Joffrey Company Artists. Having performed in The Joffrey Ballet’s production of Cathy Marston’s Atonement in the fall of 2024, Seehyun looks forward to more potential opportunities with the company, the Academy’s annual production of Winning Works, and her career beyond.
